2 m3's worth buying...which would YOU choose?? Well guys i think ive narrowed it down to TWO m3's in the area that im considering buying.... First: 99' M3, Cosmos black 5spd w/34,000 miles on it-- $29,500 or 95' M3, Avus blue 5Spd, w/46,000 miles on it-- $24,500 (also has some sort of "remus" exhaust, is it any good??) What do you guys think? Both cars are in GREAT condition...interior on both cars is the light, almost white color (not sure of the name of it) VERY pretty... Im almost leaning towards the 95, because of its LOW mileage and cheaper price, but what would you guys pick??

Without a doubt i'd say the 95 avus.......more modding potential (95 vs. 99), and avus is such a rare, beautiful colour... BUT... the price seems a little high...as a matter of fact, both prices seem a tad high, but i dunno... Btw... i think the colour of the interior you're talking about is dove grey.... Either way, you're gonna be a lucky guy... ![]()

what do you guys think of this, i found a 95' Dakar yellow M3 for sale, with 120,000 but it needs an engine rebuild, heres what it says in the ad-------Dakar Yellow M3 loaded with the normal options. Not currently running, Engine needs assembled. Water Pump and Radiator do not come with but everything else is included. Clutch replaced around 15,000 miles ago. Body in in good condition, needs front Airdam repaired or replaced. Interior very clean. This car was a daily driver up until about 3 months ago. An un-qualified mechanic changed the Water Pump but did not bleed the system causing overheating problems. The Engine is partially disassembled.----i can repair the engine thats not a problom, but i was wondering what a fair price would be, he is asking $9,900 for it, but that seams steep for a 95' that need an engine rebiuld, this is the only M3 i will ever be able to afford so i want to know what a fair price would be, and what eles should i look at in the car.

Get the Avus blue. I've been lovin' it since I got mine a month ago and people still keep coming up to me with compliments. Black is a hot color, but there's not many Avus blue M3's running around. Good luck with either one though. -Mike

Are you nuts? Get the 99, 95's aren't as tight (they just don't feel the same) as the 96+ (I've owned both) and 95 was the first US model year for the m3's. 99's had the least amount of problems and from what I have read they have better leather, not to mention 3 spoke wheel, rear headrests, illuminated shifter, climate control, new grill, new sidemarkers, side airbags, etc.

| I'd go for the 99. It looks much better inside, mainly from the 3spoke wheel, and you can't beat cosmos on an M3; it is just so smooth. Remember, just b/c the 95 has low miles does not mean that there won't be typical problems from an 8 year old car.
