NonBMW-Can a switch VW key be cut to a honda key?

Does anyone here know if it's possible to take a blank VW flip key and have an 02' Accord cut onto it? Will it work? I know it's non-bmw but I figured maybe someone here would know.

if you could get the VW key non cut maybe but it would have to be a special machine or hand cut ....

My friend has a 96 M3 with the e46 key and all the buttons work...

IF you can cut the key down, you might be able to use it to get in the car/trunk. But, it will not operate the ignition. The car will crank over but the fuel delivery won't work. The dealership has to program the key and you're looking at no less then $75 (like $25 per key and $50 for the labor).

not exactly sure right now..

but from what I understand... not all BMW dealerships have the equipment to cut new keys for there cars....

He knows someone who works at a dealership who did it for him..

my princple has one of those CAR-Key copier...he just got the key plate thingy for BMW, Audi, Benz....

i have no idea y he has it..but it's kool with me..he already made a copy for me

Yes.

It would be cool to have an E46 key but IMO it's not worth the cost unless you have a hookup.

The e46 key is alot thicker..... so they have to trim it down about 50% as it is.... so unless you have a hookup don't even ask

i have a friend that does the conversion, the alarm buttons will not work, but he can make any key a flip out

The cheapest I can find a VW flip-out key is on ebay for about $50. I guess I'll just go around and ask places to see if they can cut it.
