Window troubles

So I have had this problem since I got the car but it isn't THAT big of a deal, but it would be great if someone could help.
So the problem is with the driver side front window in my 1995 M3. The auto-up function works sometimes, but others it stops and reverses dirrections?? Kinda annoying but I guess I can live with it if noone knows how to fix it.

happens a lot on those year m3s im not too sure if there is a fix

I got a 95 325 and that happens to me sometimes also. When holding the button for a couple secs to make the window go up automatically, it sometimes stops about a quarter of the way up and comes down an inch. or sometimes the automatic part doesnt even work. It used to happen a hell of a lot, but now it hardly happens at all.
