| My M has been drinlinking the same from day one 94 octane Sunoco. And never go to a station where they are just filling the tanks, I've seen my friends supra blow his motor due to that. Too much crap got sturred in the tanks and his fuel filter got covered up with it, the engine leaned out and that was the end of that. Lesson to be learned the hard way. So if come across a station that is being filled stay away...

Chevron 92 octane religiously.... I think thats the highest rating left in WA state unless you buy the super octanes from a racetrack. lethal325: Do you have any more detailed information or studies into this? I would really like to know If I'm making a bad choice with my gas.... ![]()

Chevron's gas contains the most oxygen ppm (parts per million) than any other fuel, causing a leaner burn. As I've said before, half a dozen race engines met an early demise because of it. I know two guys that own cbr 900's that overheated on a highway trip the one time they filled up with it. Furthermore, the whole snowmobile community here in PG, and with the amount of snow we get here, there are a shitload of sled heads around, boycott chevron as a couple of guys have melted pistons due to it. My car pings like a whore when I run chevron 94, but she loves Esso/Exxon 92. Peter

hmmm.... I may try something else for awhile then. I mostly started using it exclusively on a recommendation from a friend..... maybe I'll whore my car out for awhile.... what is your suggestion? I think exxon is hard to find around here.... 76, citgo, shell are the most popular

I'd do sunoco, mobil, shell helix, gulf, or bp. I know gas is expensive in Europe, but it'd be sooo great if I could pump shell 106 octane straight into my tank... ![]() Last edited by Lethal 325///M : 11-16-2003 at 07:29 PM.
