Hard Drop SOUND from SHIFTING!! HELP!

ok.. I got a question, I was previously racing my cuzins 240sx.. and I was shifting at around 5500-6000RPM, but when I did so from 2nd gear to 3rd all the way to 5th, on each shift, I could hear a loud somewat drop noise from the transmission like if i broke something, but everything is fine, car runs fine.. but was wondering if it was normal for doin that ? well post replys thanks..
