| Turning off the ACS-T I recently bought a 98 M3. I LOVE this car. I have an 87 Porsche 944S as well so I am used to fast stable cars. My M3 has the ACS-T and it seems to work even if I have the button off. I want to get some oversteer action on! I want to get some wheel spin once and awhile... What is the problem? Should the traction control and engine braking continue when the ACS-T light is off? I don't notice TOO much difference between the two. I am VERY happy with the car, I have had a few little races street and highway, but no top end runs. I schooled a 911 one morning, it was a 97 or so. He was a very unhappy Porsche driver. It handles like its on rails, I haven't taken it on track or auto cross yet so I have yet to test it's handling limits. I of course take most ramps until the tires start to sing, but I haven't made them howl yet... Oh yeah, I can bring the RPM's up to 5K, drop the clutch and the tires won't spin, the engine just slows down and then the car goes off at a nice pace. 3 grand drops get it going nicely. I think I need to learn the car better. I also suspect I need a software upgrade for my E36. Any tips of help would be appreciated.
