What is that thing in my trunk under the spare?

Its got 2 blue tubes and a black hose comming off of it. Im thinking it has something to do with fuel. Any ideas?

i work at a local car audio place. we had to put two subs in that lil pit and not move that thing. my boss's best bet was that it was the fuel pump, but then again he's not a bmw expert.

but you are right becuase its part of the fuel system (i had to track the lines around the back of the car)

nah, its a lil black plastic box with hard plastic tubes coming out of it. anyone kno wtf it is?

(anyone with a hanes manual, perhaps?)

I know there is a battery in the trunk somewhere for some reason, they told me this when I went to the bodyshop. I also know the battery has leads comming off it and if they are broken, the airbags will be signaled to deploy..... maybe...
