| A good friend (Klasic on here) just bought a 96 GTI VR6. its suprisingly quick, definately on part straight line wise with all the early e36s i've driven. Plus the aftermarket for those things is HUGE, and they actually get real world gains from inexpensive bolt ons.

| vr6's are an awsome engine, 95 was the strongest year for the Vr6.....sound very similar to a ferrari engine very bubbly and pull very hard, i am very partial to VW but i love bmw's none the less also as my friend has an mteck 318ti e36 with mods |

| I never understood the difference between GTI's and regular Golf's. They look the same, hve the same engines, interiors look the same as well. Can somebody tell me why GTI's are better? PS. Sorry for getting OT |

| I think in the US, the golf (4 door) does not come with the VR6 engine, only the GTI does (correct me if I am wrong). BTW, if he goes GTi, no rear wheel drive? lol, either way, VW's are badass cars. |
