I've been looking for an intake for sometime now, but I am looking to buy ALOT of things. So I need my money to go along way, anyways... I was thinking of buying this Tyfoon intake for my 95 E36 M3 and wanted to hear peoples thoughts...
thanks guys,
Will

run, run as fast as you can, from that intake. It may be cheap, but it looks like a hacked together honda intake. I wouldnt be caught dead with a intake on a bmw that claimed "JDM" as a selling point....

besides, where are the installed photos? or the results because its 'tested and proven!" ?

steer clear, save your money for a REAL intake

The intake piping looks pretty good actually, with a spot to accommodate that temp sensor that many others neglect. I'd just buy that and get a real filter for the thing because what they supply looks really cheezy. The filter will sit right above your splash guard in your bumper next to the left (right if you're facing the car, left if you're sitting in it) foglight. By the way, they have the piping laid out ass-backwards.

I noticed this too..

I'm with Rob on this one, I'd save for a CAI made by a reputable company.

I think the thing that really steers me away from this intake is the line

"be sure to impress the judges with this one of a kind intake" it sounds a little more show than go to me.

TRUE JDM huh? wait a sec...why would I want JDM products on any BMW? what the hell? where did this TYFOON company come from anyways? sounds like a rip off of another companys intake to me, like K&N's Typhoon intake. What a load of shit.

Yeh it looks like a cheap civic intake. I got mine from http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/index.asp
It did cost over $1000 but thats cuz I got the euro hfm and chip with it. They sell just the intake as well its like $350. Just my suggestion. You get what you pay for.

I CAN HELP HERE!!

LOL.. hey I can help you out HERE!! now listen.. eheh.. THIS INTAKE IS CRAP!! first off like ROB said.. JDM For BIMMERS ? hehe.. more like for civics.. lol.. but anyhow.. I bought one, just for that Temp Sensors insert piece I needed for my intake.. ehhe, anyhow.. i got the whole set, so thought why not give it a try.. turns out, its built not for any of the E36, the pipe is to long, and with filter added on, there is no way, it would fit, i tried every possible way, but couldnt find a way to make it fit.. THat answers the question about where is the install pics..!! keep away from this crap, the only part i kept out of the whoel thing is the temp sensors part, and used it on another intake i got built from a good buddy of mine, that works wit piping and stuff, i forget the material its made out of, but its well made, and good performance.. anhow, back to the Tyfoon.. ITS WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK!! Dont Fit in my car, at all!! you would waste money on nothing.. so do not bid! hehe ]
