Consider me that guy who needs to touch the hot stove just to see for myself that it is, in fact, hot. After all the IForged nightmares I've heard and read about I decided that I needed to try the company out for myself. I really don't think that I need to bore people with the details. Let's just say that after four months of dealing with Vince (his name just makes me ) and having the crappiest experience ever, I'm fed up and I need to jump on the hating IForged bandwagon. Awful customer service, shitty response times, an extradorinarily lengthy and tedious process, all for a less than subpar product. That's about the only way I can condense it for the forums. There is no one who did not infuriate me at IF with the exception of Steven who got me tracking numbers the same day I talked to him (after calling for two weeks and asking Vince). Everyone from the girls who answer the phone to Ryan (shame on you for not standing behind the sale) and especially Vince - you guys should not be able to stay in business considering that my experience has been no different than dozens of others out there.Any of you who want specifics, email me. But trust me, I am now officially another guy who will post negatively about IF - trying my best to steer customers away and ultimately get that shoddy operation closed down.

SilverSurfer, sorry to hear about your experience. I know exactly how you feel as I went through the SAME thing, but with HRE instead of I-Forged; ill-fitting wheels, peeling clear coat, rude and intimidating customer servce. I'm assuming that it just happens less w/HRE. OT - silver surfer one of my favourite all time comics, got series 1 at home packed in mylar.

you want the whole story?? What a nightmare. Again, it's been such a convoluted experience, it's hard for me to recap. I'll try though, I hope you've got some coffee or popcorn: - Beginning of Feb., I see an ad for a set of new IF wheels on DTMpower being sold by a private party. - I contact him and he tells me that the fronts are available but the rears still need to be made and that I should contact Vince from there on out. - Okay, Vince tells me that the rears will be completed in one week and he'll ship them to me. - 5 weeks go by and Vince is not returning my phone calls. Finally he tells me that they had to make an entirely new set because the forementioned private party (Ryan - now an employee of IF) decided to keep the other wheels. Pretty professional. - So now the wheels are done but because Vince refuses to deal with tires, I ask him to send the wheels to a tire shop in AZ who I trust. - After 2 months the wheels are shipped to AZ and in the process of taking off the center caps to mount the tires, the paint chips on the wheels. - Vince actually offers to have them repainted at his cost. WOW! So they get sent back to IF (at my cost with the AZ shop's help) with tires where Vince say that they arrived with damaged lips and no packaging. This was not easy for me to believe considering that the shop in AZ deals with thousands of high end wheels each week, shipping them everywhere. Okay Vince, do you want to file a damage claim with the shipping company? He decides not to and says that he'll refinish the lips as well. Hmmm. -------getting bored yet?-------hey, you asked ---------------------------------- so after three more weeks of no returned phone calls, Vince finally tells me that the wheels/tires are at a body shop (where they were supposedly repainted/repolished) and are ready to ship back to me. However, I can't issue a UPS call tag for them because they're not packaged. Neither Vince nor the body shop owner is willing to package the wheels/tires. "This is why I don't deal with tires," Vince says. So they sit there for another two weeks until I have a messenger come and pick up all four wheels/tires and have them brought to CEC where they are then shipped up to me(mind you, I'm orchestrating all of this from Seattle, where I live). - Finally after more than four months, I get the wheels/tires. The paint looked fine, but the lips were all scratched . No biggie, I can get the lips repolished, fine. Also there are no center caps . Hmm. . .okay another two weeks go by of unanswered phone calls to Vince. Then I get through to Steven at IF who tells me that the caps were just (2 weeks after I asked Vince to send me the caps) shipped out to me. Okay, here they come the day after, four used centercaps (with no IF logo on them) packaged in an envelope with no packaging material, completely scratched to all hell . Another phone call to Vince and another couple of days goes by before I get proper centercaps. - The first "spirited" drive I go on, I start to feel a vibration in the wheel. Take the car to a wheel repair shop who tells me that not only is one wheel now bent but when he tried to repolish the lips (because the lips came to me completely scratched and f#*ed up) and clean the wheels, the paint came off on his rag. He said that the wheels were painted with no primer/sealer/clearcoat. Just paint on metal - that's it. That also explains why the paint came off so easily at the AZ shop. - so now, I'm looking at straightening that one wheel and repainting all four centers, as well as repolishing all four lips. Maybe only $200 total because I know the guy who does the work, but I hope that the experience I've relayed to you reflects that this is about much more than money. -I've been a wheel/tire distributor for 4 years now and owned another tuning business before that. Never before have I ever worked with anyone so incompetent and unprofessional as IF and Vince. I also purchased a set of wheels from the IF parent company IntroCustoms and couldn't have been happier. They know that people are getting shafted by IF and I'm going to hopefully help drive the nail through the coffin and get Vince closed down. If nothing else, I'll call the BBB and file another negative complaint about IF. Thanks for listening.
