| burnouts I just bought my first m3 and had a scary experience when I tried to do a burnout. Does anyone know why the rear-end feels like it's bouncing up and down when I do a burnout. More importantly, how do I prevent it from happening. Thanks. |

| my traction control was off. When I popped the clutch at about 4K, it felt like the wheels were gripping and then slipping, gripping, slipping.... The back end also felt like it was bouncing up and down. Hard to describe. |

| That happens on my car, then again it's FWD. I figure it's from the POS tires. It's so violent, everything shakes and rattles and it looks like the dash is going to explode. It's only on certain kinds of asphault thought. -Ducky

Next time bring the revs up more, or, if you want to keep your car alive, don't do burnouts 'til you have more power (or smaller tires)-Ted

| Don't know if you know but....... When the ASC (traction control) light is on traction control is off. And when the ASC light is off, traction control is on. Traction control is automatically on when you start the car (no ASC light). Maybe this will help you out ?? |

| does it in my car too...but like Duckydos, my car is fwd and has crappy tires. bring the rev's up more, or don't pop the clutch as hard and you should be fine. better yet, just don't do it unless the road is wet...
