M3 Shifter instead of 325

Is the M3 or the Z3 shifter shorter than the standard 325i shifter. og should i get a Short shifter kit.?

I think both the M3 and the 1.9L Z3 shifters are shorter throw. --->E36 Tech

i think the m roadster modified shifter is the shortest we can get for our e36... correct me if im wrong.

you can pick an oem one up at the dealership for pretty cheap but you have to bend one of the rods to make it fit right.
