19s on my E36...Modification needed? I have a few questions...

Hey all, I'm looking at a set of 19" AC Schnitzer Type 3 wheels for my e36. Just have few questions.

1) Will I need to roll my fenders to get these to fit?

2) My buddy said they'd increase my ride height, even though they have low profile tires on them. Does this have any truth to it or is he just blowin' smoke up my ***?

3) If they do up the ride height, should I use some H&R springs to offset that?

Thanks for your time.

19's would fill in the wheel gap, and sometimes unless you have suspension work done it can make the car look kind of high off the ground.

So they would just make it "look" like it is higher off the ground, or would they actually raise the height?

do you think I could offset that with some lowering springs?

ill bet it will raise the overall height...obviously, if you dont change your suspension, and you just add more lift to it (larger wheels), then the body will raise as well.....dont go 19's without some kind of suspension, i'd hate to see those bangin wheels without a drop, it just looks that much better IMO.

you will need to roll the fenders and it will raise the ride height a bit. i'd only get 19's if your car is low (i.e. rieger kits) and you want to get a little more clearance.

Your overall height is going to be higher. My boy has a '01 Celica GT-S and he put on 18s with with low-pros from stock 16s. There was a notciable height increase.

if the rim is 19x8.5 then a 39 offset would be right.

Ya, thats the right size. 19x8.5. Do you have to use the spacers to have no rubbing? Also what H&Rs do you have? OEM, Sport or Race? Thx

Hey Dado, is that what you had on your car? 19x8.5s with 39 offset? What tire size did you use? Same as Dan?
