Where is the engine, how would a engine (steel block) or a motor like that crush. Looks like the air bag deployed, but the seats are in tact well in ok condition. You sure their dead? Thats sad though

You hit anything head on with a delta V of 0 (Time in change of velocity) at anything over 65mph your neck can easly snap. Your head comes forwards so hard and so fast your neck hyperextends so much death is pretty instentainous.

At the speed that accident look like it must have happened at, his insides were probably so rearranged by the impact it wouldn't have mattered if the motor came through the firewall and hit him in the head, he was probably dead on impact.

Thats why most race car drivers, even in BMW CCA club racing are wearing HANS deviceses, they are even talking about making them mandatory.

If he hit a telephone pole at over 100 and it didn't snap, noway was anyone living through that accident regardless of what kind of car it was.

I think you can see in this where the engine comes through the passenger firewall... Very sad.

I work on an ambulance and scenes like that are rarely anything but devastating. Very Sad.
