Jewels, The sensor is in the door latch point. To test it you can open the door and then push the little latch mechanism in the door itself down so the door thinks it's closed. (I think you have to do this) Then you can push the switch on the latch mechanism attached to the car. Sorry for the not so great description.

have you ever seen "Christine"? you probably wont have to crush your car, but i bet it's just a loose wire somewhere in the door--- there is a switch that tells the dome light to turn off under the a-pillar, but i don't know about the window....good luck. if you can't get more specific help, follow the instructions to take the inside of the door apart and check all the electronics inside...usually something simple, in my experience.

YO SORRY DUDE!!! i just washed my car and decided to look at the door. the button that controls the window is in the anchor attached to the car's body. it is on your right on the driver's side. it is black--- basically what the door locks onto to close. it is held in place with torx screws...i have a set, but you're all the way in CA! uh--- pop it off and clean it, i bet it'll be all set once you do that. or swap it with the passenger side ANYWAY, DON'T TAKE APART THE DOOR!! WASTE OF TIME! sorry, hope you catch this in time
