custom software for turbo

Im just doing some research before i get my turbo.Im getting a custom setup.
I would need a custom software ECU for the turbo right?
And do u know any companies that makes it besides AA?

as far as bmw's are concerned AA is the only place for turbo needs
(others make kits but not dyno proved and tuned electronics)

How difficult would it be to tune it though.... if you just had a custom turbo setup similar to the AA one...? What would it take to get the right programming down????

You could always go with a piggy back system that can manage the fuel and timing for you and leave the current ecu to handle the rest.

Haltech, Microtech, Motec, etc. This is what I will be doing to the motor I having built. I will go with the Microtech. You'll need a dyno or alot of steet space to do the tuning. With this method you could set high and low boost maps to run on without a problem.

They do not cost an arm and a leg. You could get a Haltec for like 1k and a Microtech for the same.

If you go motec then expect to pay about 2500 for a lowend system.
