| m30 turbo pics can u guys post some pics of turbo exaust manifolds on an m30 im gunna start my 533i tubo project soon and need some manifold designs  also what engine managment do u guys us!!!!!!!!!!!

| your best bet would be to talk to e34biturbo. he has several turbo cars, one of them a e34 5er putting out almost 600RWHP!!! so your best bet for manifold designs for your car he would definatly be the person to talk to. Tom |

| There are all kinds of Exhaust Manifolds out there. I am not too fond of the Log Style, if you are lacking room, they do work. For the M30 engine, it seems we are limited, as far as room goes. Would be nice to fit in a Equal Length Header, but haven't seen one for sale for turbo's yet. What Corky Bells states in his book Maximum Boost: "A great amount of research has been done on the performance benefits of various manifold styles. Most of this research, plus tremendous efforts put into the recent era of turbocharged Grand Prix cars, strongly indicates that the best manifolding is Multiple-Tube, Individual-Runner Style." I have been working out the details of a turbo exhaust for my 635csi, I have found there is about 5" away from the head, and about 17" under the head, next to the block. Thats why many people use the Log Style, so they can mount the turbo under the exhaust manifold. If you build your own, try using Sch 10 Stainless Weld Elbows from McMaster Carr. 1 1/4" 90 degree 316 SS Elbow is around $6.00 USA. Try and build the manifold where the tubes are short as possible, and also where all the tubes are not cross firing, but firing straight up into the turbo. Heres a few pictures I have found on the Net. I found a few here, I hope nobody minds if I post them. The last one is a design I made in MasterCam. Haven't built it yet, but will be starting soon.
