Toolin' around with a supercharged S2000..

Well i was leaving my friend's neighborhood, following this friend of his driving his newly supercharged by Vortech S2000. The car's all kitted out with the Veilside package, including the 18" rims (which aren't helping that 4 cylinder at all but look great).

Anyway, we turn onto a main road that's unfortunately only 1 lane each way.. 1st gear was just cruising, then he hit 2nd and i heard him stick it- so i (a tick later) stomped on it in 2nd and immediately caught up with him, short-shifting to 3rd at 5500 so as to avoid getting to close to his bumper. We then shut down for a car turning right in front of him. After the van pulled onto a side-street we both stuck it in 2nd, this time him into VTEC, me only at 3000 or so.. anyway, as soon as i hit 4000 i blew straight back onto his bumper, shifted at about 6500 then let off to again, avoid running into him.

So, we only got up into 3rd, but i had no problem staying with him and could have passed him provided there were two lanes. Either way, his S2000 is super sweet, and i give him props all the way- quick car, but still not match for the dirty thirty. If he threw some lighter wheels on i'm sure he'd gain a little back.

hell yeah, S2000s are so overrated. I dont know why people buy those things and even bother mod'ng them :P



on a serious note, good run alex, blown s2ks are quick once the rev's get up. too bad that guy wasted his $$$ on a body kit and heavy rims, he might give you a better run....

Rob- yeah really, i mean i like S200's a lot, and Lee's car is GORGEOUS. But i think the kit is slightly overdone.. the front is gorgeous with the CF and all, but the sides/rear are too much for me. Rims are also pretty, but some ultralight forged Volks would be my choice. Fact is Lee has put the car together primarily for show, and that it has (what, 5 monitors?) so i'm proud of the work he's done, just not the way i'd do it. To each his own!

*my* st00k would have 16" spoons (11lbs like woah) and the Amuse Ti exhaust (6lbs for the catback i think?) but i'm a wierdo
