A couple M42 turbo questions (CONSTRUCTIVE criticism & helpful comments ONLY plz!)

Well, here thay are:

1) Can I run 8psi with stock internals. If not, how much can I run.

2) Anyone got any used turbo's for sale (9B's, TD04 series,...?)

3) Will I need to use an alternate method of measuring the air going into my engine (MAF & MAP as opposed to AFM)?

4) Who has done this?

5) I only wanna run low psi, & Ireland engineering has a kit that does that for 325's/ What turbo are they using?

Thanks. I am NOT looking for huge boost numbers. My car is not, & never will be a drag car. I have spent enough on the suspension for the moment, and not I just want a little more kick to power out of corners with. Comments are welcome (I dont wanna hear about how I should put in a 6 cylinder cuz I aint...I want my car to stay light). Thanks..........

Hey I own an 318i also. '91 I am looking for a turbo or superchrager. My door sticker says my car is a "is" even though its a 4 door so I'm pretty sure its an iA if anyone can refer him to a good kit can you refer me also. BTW nice color I have the same color also.

1 - probably, but you'll probably need an intercooler.
2- have you thought about a turbo manifold... that will dictate your choice in turbos.
3- maybe. how much do you want to spend or work extra?
4- not that i know of, and i've been looking into this for a while.
5- it's for a 325... dont even compare them. you should be looking at turbo sizes for d16 civics... the motor is more similar.
