| word I wonder if he kept it 4x4... every super high horsepower 4x4 truck ive seen, has converted to 2x4 because they plan on not off-roading it. if he could smoke all 4 tires, damn, ultra sleeper.

| E36DJ - I wouldn't run a manual in a 721hp full time 4x4 truck. I would run an Allison 6 speed, lol (the company that makes the automatic transmissions for the HUGE ass trucks). He would need one hell of a well designed Transfer Case. He would rip a viscious coupling style system to shreads in one launch. a standard geared setup and he would be blowing T-cases once a month. a Chain setup MIGHT work, but again, 700hp might not be too good for a full time 4x4. the only T-case I think could handle that would be an Atlas 2, and that's a hard corps off-road setup. it's the case used in many off-roaders that mud-bog and run a Nitrous Oxide setup to get the meats spinning really quick in a short distance to get out of/across/through a mud puddle. but you lose 2x4. He can't be using full time 4x4. I am not positive about the 4 Runner, so i dont know the 4x4 works. I suppose it would be as hard on a clutch as www.cobbtuning.com puts on their 400+ WHP Subaru Impreza WRX (built off of a 2.5 block). A triple plate off-road performance clutch built by Clutchmasters would be the only clutch I know of that could handle that kind of power, assuming the guy will be off-roading the thing.... but with all that eye candy under the hood, he probabally wont be doing much wheeling...
