| You could have done it yourself in an hour and a half. The dealer should have given you a jar of vasaline w/ that price.

| dude that price would suggest that they worked on it 8 hours at 74 dollars an hour. But you said they charge 65 bucks per hour?? that jsut dosnt make sense. And truthfully does a delaer realy take ur car staight into service and work on it the whole day ahahah, not. Go write a couple of letters hopefully theyll give you a free oil change or something, GL sebastian

| yeah, i'll be all over it tomorrow. gonna check with the BMW service guy first and make sure it wasn't an error, and THEN write a serious letter to the service manager. This should be incentive to start doing my own service work. :/ wish I had the garage or the tools. |

| $65/hour isnt' bad for an E36...but the time involved? BS if you ask me. I've had similar work done on my E30 and no where that long of a time...and I can't see it being more complex. -Prince |

| Lets see, did both my rad hoses in about 18 minutes this passed fall... can't see the t-stat housing taking 7.5+ hours. I can't believe you paid that. If you write a letter to the service manager and still get no satisfaction, write letters to BMW North America and BMW AG in Deustcheland, they'll get fined at the very least and if this particular dealer has a record of this sort of behavior they could get their dealer license revoked. I work at a local shop that specializes in European cars, and if I took that long to do a hose and t-stat housing on any car, I would be fired.
