Vortech supercharger?

I saw an ad for a vortech supercharger for an e46... Advertised 250rwhp and 280 tq added? Those numbers dont seem right, for a 330 that would be over 400hp?! Those dont seem right...someone verify, anyone with experience?

250 RWHP doesn't equate to over 400 HP

i dont think they meant ADDED 250rwhp, most likely they said thats how much horse power it'll have

i believe the blown 330 makes around 310hp, so 250 rw sounds right

oh and ebdy.. learn to read

It sounds as if he is refering to possibly the ERT Blower for E46. They have a E46 325 putting down almost 270wrhp. It is true.

My car is going there monday to have one installed. We will be following it on the site and doing final impressions and review when it is completed by thusrday.

maybe your right, maybe it was total 250hp and not adding 250 and 280 tq. It just didnt seem right that a blower would add 250 HP? Doofoo, hope your car turns out and pulls out some power, where are you going to post the results, etc?

They dont even offer a S/C for any BMW's. Only third party vendors.

Most supercharger "kits" on the market use Vortech V2SQ units. Yes, vortech does not sell any BMW kits directly but again, I think he is refering to the ERT kit (was this advertisement in Roundel? If so, it was probably them). Yes the 325 puts about 250hp to the wheels.

Parker, we will be posting the car results up on the forum. It is for one of the project cars. 2001 325Ci, I will begin to work on the articles as soon as I drop the car off on monday, I will do a baseline dyno with my current exhaust and Conforti CAI, and will also post up a dyno at the same time of another demo 325 unit they have on hand. Then once completed on wed or thursday we will post up the completed dyno from my car.

This kit is putting out a lot more power than most others on the market, I think the only one that is around the same power output is the ASA kits.

I dont know what kit it was actually(edit: advertised as vortech), but it was on ebay. Thats why I started this post, because I thought they were "fudged" ebay numbers.

Mike, What are the tq figures gonna look like, and how is the S/C on your 325 gonna put you up against an e36 M3, do you have any idea? Also, how much does the s/c your gonna run compare with the others on the market in terms of power increases and costs? cant wait to see the figures, im really interested about the e46 blowers, ive heard a lot of talk about them but nothing really solid so far.
