| I had the OBD2 kit for nearly a year. The car was every bit as daily driveable as it was before I did the kit. You can drive around all day normally and under 3000 rpm and not even know the kit is on the car. Unlike some of the other kits out there, the AA kits are very complete with well tuned software that makes them perfectly capable of being driven on a daily basis. That is the reason I chose them. Of course any form of forced induction is going to shorten the life of the engine, but by no means would I say it is dramatic when done with a well tuned system.

| Josh??? Where did you have your work done at??? What kind of setup are you going with now. I am looking to install the best of the best setup and one that produces tons of power. Money is not a problem so let me know if you have any suggestions. By the way extremely nice car!!!! I used to have a 97 cosmos m3 but i totalled it. I now have a 98 Dakar Yellow M3. Thanks, Sean. |

| I have not picked my specific turbo yet. The car should be done relatively soon once that is decided. I had all of the work done at AA. Above the OBD2 setup I had previously, I have now had the car converted to OBD1, added the metal head spacer for lowered compression, turbo spec cams, Stage 3 intercooler, bumper mounted intake, dual stage aquamist, larger fuel pump and lines, HKS DLI ignition system, and a few other odds and ends. My turbo options are the 60-1 or T61, with the T61 being capable of well over 600 crank horsepower with the other modifications listed. To answer what I would recommend for you, it really depends on what your goal is. It is worth the trip to AA to ride in a few of their cars to get a feel of what you are getting yourself into, and then making a decision. I will just say that sanity never played a role in this most recent choice to upgrade my car.... ![]()

| Hey Josh how much did that HKS DLI ignition system run you? My car is back at AA right now. I may have them add that. I wish i had money for the w/a, turbo cams, and stage 3 intercooler. I could of it i didnt decide to build my engine, ohh well it. Atleast ill have a good bottom end when i do decide to do stage 3+ or whatever. they really need to come up with a differential reinforcement tho. I may also get the fluidyne radiator, its coming out real soon. |

| The DLI unit is around $600 I believe. From what I understand, you only need it if you are running more than 16-17 psi. IMO, I think that money is better spent on the aquamist in your case since you don't have it. A differential reinforcement would be nice. I am always worried about snapping that bolt again. In addition to the AA and Fluidyne radiators, there is another company called PWR based out of Austrailia that makes a larger, all aluminum one for the E36. The price is around $400-500. I do not know how they all compare to each other though. One advantage to the AA is it bolts up like factory. I am trading some of my old stuff in so I am not quite sure what that turbo and intercooler would cost if you were buying them without a trade. I would contact AA for specific pricing.

| Mattduncan, The Fluidyne radiator has not yet been mass produced yet but should be shortly. The prototype had fitment issues but those have been noted to Fluidyne and hopefully the fnished product fits. |

| Ya, they said they will have it out in a few weeks. He told me to check back with him next week for pricing. Anyone heard of the PWR one? is that any good? 1900 for a radiator is just ridiculous. |
