Miles to high for a SUPERCHARGER?

I'm looking at a Silver 1997 M3 for only $9500. Here's the kicker it has 130k miles on it!! Where this guy drove I have know idea. Anyway, for you supercharged M3 people or the supercharged M3 knowledgable is that too many miles to add a supercharger?

well. 130k might be a little too much for an sc, im sure it'll go for a bit longer, what u can do is just rebuild the internals, jus a few minor stuff and be ready to beat down on it with the sc, should be good. 9500 for a 97 m3 with 130k is a steal though man. do u have a link or any pics of it?

Hmm not sure, I'm planning on getting a dasc and I have 102k mi let me know what you find out.

I too am trying to locate a high milage m3 for around $11,000...although I'm looking for a 95. Where are places to look besides autotrader, ebay, and the boards? I cant find very many ...where did you find this 97?

Another good place to look for cars is at www.cars.com . They don't have as many cars listed as AutoTrader though. I think AutoTrader is your best bet to find a used car.

Have you done a carfax on the car? And you should still have it checked out by a reputable BMW mechanic...That price seems pretty low. You can't help but wonder about the history of the car....

That is damn cheap as long as it is in good condition. I would get it. Shingo put on his AA turbo at 120000 miles. I think the motor went at 180000 and it was a 325.

just installed an AA turbo on my 325 at 170k. we'll see how long it lasts. gotta start saving for a motor soon

Carfax turns up with no clue of trouble. My pops is a BMW tech so no problem getting it checked out , not to mention I work for a BMW dealership.

Buy the car. Rebuild the engine to the fullest. Then put in a super charger. It all turn into a 350 HP beast hahahaha.

130k miles from 97'? NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!!

Damn, guys, we have cars here in Europe like an 740i 2000' with 240k miles, Mercedes E320 2000' with 170k miles... and so on. There are people in Europe, that has to drive about 100 miles every day 2x (to work and back)... and a big mileage on highways with cruising speed is a lot better that low mileage but with a donut in each crossing.
