Vanos

The part of the valve cover that covers the VANOS on my 325i is flaking. I was thinking about taking all the paint off of it, cleaning it, and polishing it. That is, if it's aluminum. Anyone know what the cover is made out of?

you can polish it, but it will tarnish VERY quick. I got mine dipped.
