NOS and Fast and the Furious...

If there were any doubt that NOS paid heavily to get their name in the movie then check this out... I was x-mas shopping in the mall today and at the movie store I see a big poster advertising that Fast and the Furious is coming out 1/02 (holding my breath

) And GUESS WHAT...when you buy it you get a FREE NOS STICKER!!!!

I, for one, will definitely be the first in line(35hp!!) My god, what has the marketing in this world come to...

I thought companies have been sponsoring movies for years? Companies fund movies to have their product in various scenes.

Don't forget that Panasonic tagged their name all over the movie too

now ... if they were handing out free DVD players with each copy of the film...

Then I'd be all up on that deal. That'd be some kickass marketing

i went to the mall last saturday night, and i swear, the parking structure resembled a Hot Import Night. anyway, i parked, saw some people, hung out, and when i came back, there were a couple of civics and integs parked next to me. all the kids were checkin out my car. one of them asked, "what u got in their, NOS, VTEC, Greddy turbo?"

i tried my best not to pee in my pants from laughing. i told him it was a dead stock 6 cylinder, just with a body kit, badges, and rims. i saw he had a NOS sticker on his hatch, so i asked "what size jet are u running?" he stared at me blankly. i just got in my car. started, and drove off. then i laughed my ass off.

Some kid in my school has an AMG badge on his C230 and the thing is dead stock. Wheels, muffler everything is from the factory. Everytime I see him I just laugh. What an idiot

I bet NOS's marketing manager will be getting a nice xmas bonus, jeez with a sales increase of 600% he/she will be rubbing their hands together with glee!

Any body notice in the harry potter movie(

) that all the cars down the street are all ford mondeo estates...

Yeah, good Ford marketing. At first, I thought they were Opel (or Vauxhall in Britain) because I didn't think Ford could make a wagon that looked that good. I still kinda think it's an Opel. I guess I'm wrong.
