Vanos??

Sorry i'm not familiar with this so i have to ask.

How do you find out if this engine is a Vanos or not.
The car is a 1993 325i Coupe.

I'm looking at purchasing this one. Just looking for details to look for, etc.

That car has Vanos. A good way to tell is to look at the bulging shape on the part of the engine that's painted in aluminum/silerish color.

Another way to tell is to look at the production date. All 325s (at least the ones for the U.S. market) had Vanos if they were produced after Sept. 1992.

My car's been locked inside my garage for the past few months because I am away in school... arrrgh.....

Does anyone have a good site to get the complete factory specs for this model?

i wanna compare it to the 325i 4 Door.

0-60 times, etc.

And any idea what sort of power improvements with chip, air filter and a remus i'd be looking at?

I got a 4dr 325, from 93 too. I jsut put in my chip today, the JC one. I'm getting an intake really soon, and exhaust also. I'll post some dyno runs when i get 'em -JinX
