| lookin at piecing togethor a turbo setup well everbody since i dont have all the money to do it at once i thought i would peice togethor a turbo setup for my car. as my name states i have a 94 318 and thought i would put a post up to make sure i didn't miss anything in my list of parts i will need, i know i will need downpipe, turbo, blow off valve, exhaust manifold. but i'm not sure about anything else, right now my car is pretty much stock so i would really appreciate a list of everything i would need to do this. i'm hoping to run about 10+psi. when the motor is finished i would like to get at least 175hp all motor then with turbo pushin 250 maybe as high as 325? could this be possible within reason? or am i asking for a all out race motor that will only last 300 miles? since it is a daily driver i'm not lookin for something i would have to rebuild every other week. Thanks for all the help Tom |

| I think you MAYBE asking for too much... there's a guy in Australia I believe who has a 318... he runs 19(?) psi of boost... he's making about 220-230 to the wheels... that's about all I rememmber.. and my memory is bad, so hopefully someone can confirm.... But anyway... regarding your turbo... you also need the rest of the exhaust, unless the downpipe bolts up to your exhaust (which will be TOO restrictive anyway).. then you need a bunch of piping for the intake, and an intercooler... a wastegate... unless you run a small turbo such as a T3 (then it has an internal wastegate). Other than that... you need software... I don't know if AA would be able to do it, but I'd suggest a standalone anyway... especially if you want huge power.... Honestly, I'd recommend dropping in a 325 motor (they're only like $1k-1,500) and you could do a lot more with them.. in terms of power... Good luck, Boris |

| yeah actually that guy made a post on a thread i had earlier and he is running about 9 psi i think on a mitsu turbo puttin about 230 to the wheels, there are kits out there that put about 190 to the wheels on stock internals running 5.5-6psi. |

| i don't think u'll have any problem hitting the 250hp mark, and u can probably get past 300hp and still be streetable.......but not sure how much it would all cost for ur car, it may be better for u to do a m50 swap and supercharge it.
