BMW 2002 Turbo(aftermarket)

Here is my father's 1969 BMW 2002. It was his FIRST car and he turbocharged it over the years. My older brother crashed it in traffic (no ABS) and it was totaled. My dad bought it back and got some body parts, and put it in the shop. New paint, no dents, and here it is. 380,000 miles and running hard.

Damn that thing is awesome! I love the old 2002's. Everyone time I talk about one to somebody I have to explain to them that no, it is not a new BMW, it is 30 years old!

yeah most of the younger BMW enthusiasts dont know the original bmw's. Like the 2002, 3.0, 507, 328 roadster, and sometimes the M1....

i saw an immaculate black 2002 last Friday here in Athens Georgia (I go to UGA). My girlfriend that it was just "cute" but i would LOVE to have one of those little guys to go toolin' around in. What kinda costs would I be looking at to buy one and restore it?

probably at most $4k for a pretty good 2002, parts and stuff are hard to find but www.2002ad.com is a huge junkyard filled with 2002's only. Not sure on price though. on ebay ther is a pretty nice one,

Wow, very nice. My first car was a 1974 2002tii. For more info on aftermarket turbo setups go to www.thedouginator.com Its my friend's web page that goes through the modifications and set up of the turbo on his 02. Scary fast!
