Custom Turbo? Where to get.?

Hi guys i want to get a custom turbo for liek cheap cheap. IS that possible to buy parts separately and build a custom turbo. Becuase seriously AA and all those crap turbo are so expensive. I heard i can spend around 1-2 g to buy parts to build a turbo.

You heard right, BUT I do NOT recommend building your own
" home improvement" turbo. Anyone can go salvage a T-4 off of a GSR, slap some cheap Greddy intercooler up front, run that nice asian made POS they call tubing, and have a waste gasket that is louder than hell. Sure, go buy all the parts you need, run your tubing, and watch as with in a few hundred miles i guarentee you blow your engine to hell. the REASON AA charges so much for their turbo's is cause they are tried/tested again and again and again , and they are MADE for bmw. Do you honestly want some generic turbo for a BMW? My advice, save up for the next while.... no splurging... and invest in an AA. Its safer, and you'll save your engine and a LOT of headaches - trust me I just replaced mine.

I have looked into it a little bit, and i seriously doubt you could build your own for under 3g. Also do you have the time and resources to get it right? Just some things to think about

I wouldn't do it. It would be a pain in the a$$ & very expensive$$$$$!!!!
