Is nitrous a good idea for me?

Is anyone out there running nitrous on there e34 530i/540i? I am a little hessitant becuase i still have a nikasil block, but have had no problems whatsoever. I am thinking about the zex kit, simple and not a ot of nitrous. am i going to get my self in trouble putting this on a nikasil v8. any help is greatly apreciated.

There was an E34 in the shop a few months back witha 60 shot that blew his engine. It was an automatic too. I have no idea what he did though.

you can probably run more than a 60 shot safely (the max recommended for any car is usually have the stock hp), and the zex kit is kinda cool such that it can only operate when ur at wide open throttle. the only downside is that it's a dry kit, wet kits are better.

also the kit ought to come w/ instructions of when and how long to use the nitrious shot, cuz there are times when you shouldn't push the button or else say goodbye to your engine.

yea, i understand the general risk of nitrous, my main concern was that it would not interact well with the nikasil block. I know my engine is destined to die, i was just wiondering if this would dramatically speed up the process. Thanks for the input.
