 New MechTech turbo? What is T3/T4? I emailed Jim McFarlane at MechTech regarding the E36 turbos. He replied, saying that a new turbo is about to be released. He said it is a "T3/T4" turbo? I am a novice to forced induction. What does T3/T4 mean?

| It's a hybrid turbo. It uses the turbine housing from a T3 and the compressor housing from the T4, so it has the quick spin up of a T3, but can boost almost as high as a T4.

| its a turbonetic turbo... T3/T4 is one of the most popular turbos in the market, because of the hp target range, etc... I had it in my GTi, and it was pushing 19psi @320 whp |

| Is there anyone on this board that's interested in this new turbo kit that MechTech has? I thought the kit was supposed to be released already. I haven't heard of anyone with it yet.
