| 2.7 Turbo help needed!!! This winter I will be doing a Turbo project to one of my E30's (dont know in which one the engine will go in!). I just got a 524TD euro spec from Germany, and that car will donate the Garret Turbo, manifold and CRANK... I know some people have done the 524TD conversion so ANY HELP will be great...I dont want crazy HP, just something that can stand up to an M50 powered E30!!!! Thanks... |

| A well built 2.7 (or greater) M20 engine will keep up with M50/E30's. No need for turbo. You can however use the 524td with some creativity in mounting the exhaust manifold. There's a website somewhere on the net showing how it was done. Goodluck.

| Chances are my everyday car will see an M50 transplant soon, but I want to do something DIFFERENT to my show car...I'm not into racing anyone (OK maybe sometimes!) and just want to do a fun and not too expencive project.... |

| you will probably need to go with some exhaust work too in order for that turbo to work, like down pipes/headers, that kind of stuff, plus all of those little things that u already mentioned up top |

| yeah, i think the only somewhat difficult part to do is the custom downpipe (unless the one from 524td works to at least the cat), and the piping to go from turbo to throttle body. and as long as you do low boost, less than 6 or 7 psi, the stock afm will work, and you may want hi flowing injectors and an adjustable fpr.
