| turbocharging my M20 i just got a wild idea. my friends was talking about extractors and stuff and he says it's quite cheap to custom make one... so i though of my friend who had the mosselmann turbo kit for the E36 318i.. which it's transmission blew and he left the turbo kit one side. then he said he could give it to me so i immediately took the offer. the mosselmann turbo kit includes turbo intercooler some pipings blow off valve i'll need to make new pipings for the exhaust and intake. as it's a low pressure kit, ill pass on the pistons upgrade... maybe get some 535i injectors, remove the air sensor and get unichip to do everything... any inputs appreciated. i'll be taking the tubokit later.

| how many miles i have? i wouldn't know. all i know is i have a lot.. the odometer gears are all dead so i wouldn't know hehe. but it's a 13yr old car. currently the engine isn't very healthy. tappets are sounding, exhaust manifold has one bolt broken and leaking gas, and etc. driveshaft, headlights, brakes need some attention too. cos i'm planning for an M20 2.5 drop... so u might take it as i'm trying to make the full use of the 2.0... crombo, i think i'll go for it. i need to change to heavy clutch too.

| Alan, I've already been looking around. I have a friend from Europe who had access to a Euro spec M3 engine. I have gone around from indy to indy to see how much we're talking to swap it. The one place around me that I went which seemed almost anxious to do it was a place (forget the name, pass it everyday) on Bristol Rd. and Bridgetown Pike. The guy there was very excited to even be considering the swap. He said that he had a few guys do the swap (US Spec). I went to him when I my friends and I were going to do a 1.8T swap into a Mk3 Jetta with a NA 2.0. Anyhow, it's not too expensive labor wise. I think the guy wanted like $1800 or something I canno tremember I have his card though. Obviously, the most expensive part is the engine ![]()
