anyone local (VA/MD/DC) with FI/Turbo?? The reason I ask, is that I was hoping I could meet up --- I am having a weird gremlin regarding my water temp. and also regarding the A/F. Is it possible that my downpipe is affecting the A/f reading??? I wouldn't think so; but, sometimes I am running into the rich range, maybe one click into it -- any suggestions?

well.. I did run water wetter and I rebled the system again and placed a new thermostat in there. Whatever it was, it solved the problem. I didn't think bimmer's typically had problems with air bubbles, and maybe it was the thermostat, although this is only a 1999. I would have taken it to the stealer for them to do it; but, honestly, I don't like them to do anything underneath the hood anymore. I brought a 95 to them and the car ran REALLY rough after I brought it in to them, they said it was the JC chip, B.S...I noticed 10 miles were added from when I dropped it off there to when I picked it up, I asked them about this, they said they needed to test drive it (it was inspection II)....and make sure everything was working, for 10 miles?? whatever....the spark plugs were gapped wrong . . . . they fixed it, but the whole event made me more leary of going there...

as far as the A/F gauge... I don't think the A/F gauge is "that" accurate in my opinion. I mean, most people will disagree --- it looks pretty and cool on the pillar pod; but, it cannot accurately tell the A/F mixture in REAL time. That is really what I want, I know of the setup I want to purchase .....but, I really want some other toys right now.... and I am looking forward to Curry's clash to get some ideas from other people there....
