AA Turbo question.... Does AA make a Turbo kit for the E36 328i? '97 in particular. Im not all that serious about purchasing one right now, but it would defenitely be an option for the future.

From what I heard, there is no kit availible for the E36 328i (M52B28 engine MS41.1 DME version). Active can build/design one but will need a 328i to properly tune the DME. Also a stage 2 intercooler, like the one used on the OBD2 Turbo kit, will most likely not fit a stock OEM front bumper due to its size. That is if a stage 2 turbo and intercooler will be used on the vehicle.

No 'kit' for the 328i, but something can be done. It will be a custom job because I believe the 328i engine doesn't respond as well to boost like the M3 engine does. They need to strengthen the engine I believe some before it can happen. Also, because it is an OBD2 car... the tuning will have to be done at the shop. The intercooler will not fit behind the 328i bumper (you will need an M3 one).

Better yet, Carl once quoted to someone that the entire custom job would come up to around $12,000. This includes the M3 bumper. I don't know about you guys, but that's a little too high for me.
