turbo/super vs swap?

Hi guys,
I need some ideas.
I have a 325i 95 stock. 55K miles
Now its time for performance mod.
Im thinking around $5000 to $6000 max
What do you guys recomend me between turbo (AA stg 1), S/C (ESS V2Q type + M3 cams) or M3 3.0L swap (maybe later add a S/C)?
Is the swap worth it?
Reliability and Longevity is VERY VERY important for me, but also important get low-mid 13 sec (1/4 mile, for around 300hp).
Help guys, before I made a mistake.
Thx.

I have a supercharger myself on my M3. I wouldn't mind the blow-off sound of a Turbo. mmmmmmmm

AA Stage 1 kit for the 325 runs for $8700, if you want daily driveability go for say an RMS Stage 1 kit, and save up and buy the
stage 2 kit later, the SC or Turbo will beat a stock M3, if you have the cash go for turbo, sicne i see ur budget i jes say go for the SC

ummm... why do you say RMS?
Is RMS better than ESS?
Remember ESS now comes with vortech type S/C and 7 psi pulley...

I have heard good things about ESS software, and very bad things about RMS software (regarding A/F ratios)

reliability of the turbo???

what would the reliability of the AA turbo be? i assume you couldnt run at high boost all day long, but say could you have a track session for a couple of hours, without totally blowing out your engine?

ive seen RMS at work, and its great, the software wasnt that ba don my cousins, but then again software isnt going to be optimal unless they actually have your car there to tune, so i say go RMS and have a dyno shop retune the ecu, thats what i would do

AA is great, i ran 9 lbs daily with no problems, i blew my motor because iu ran lean, injector popped out, piston ring blew, freak accident, other than that AA is top fo the line, if you got the cash then by all means go for it, you get what you pay for

An AA stage 1 for a 325 costs $5995. But htat is the GEN 2 kit. The stage 1 gen 3 kit for the M3 costs $8700.

id swap to a m3 engine....then when you do the swap, get them to install some cams, and install intake, chip, exhaust or whatever else you want.....then later on...you can always get a supercharger....or maybe turbo on the m3 engine...

Re: Re: reliability of the turbo???

If it was tuned right, why did it run lean in the first place?

id do the m3 swap first. why not hook up the better engine.

i had a 328 and now i got an m3. you wont be dissapointed with the extra 50 hp.

then when youre done with that and money is right you can supercharge or turbo the m3 engine and god only knows how fast youll be able to go. im no expert but low, mid 13s is definetly in reach with a supercharged or turbo m3 engine.

Guys,
Do you think a 325i S/C (7 psi) with exhaust, and M3 cams... could hit low-mid 13sec?
