supercharger??

i have a question for you techies and anyone that can help me. i want a supercharger or turbo kit for my m5. where should i consider getting one from?? money is no object. thanks

i thought dinan had a supercharger, if money is not object take it to korman and tell them you want a custom 16 psi turbo kit lol that should do it. or call up active autowerke maybe they will build you a turbo kit, they do alot of turbo's on e36's.

in my opinion, i like turbo's better then superchargers, and agian if money is no object (usually turbos cost more) i would say do it because i haven't seen an e39 turbo m5 before.

turbo sounds good. dinan doesn't have a turbo or supercharger. i don know why. i like active autowerke. maybe i'll be the first e39 with a turbo. hahahaha. i love it. i have the world by the balls.

hmm well maybe they only have one for the 540i (dinan) yea call AA and see what you can do, and post pics!!

I remember reading a while back in a pretty reliable source that Dinan had an M5 turbo kit under development. Even if it is "ready" i doubt they advertise it because of their little hang up on "social responsibility" (remember the big deal surrounding the ISR3?). Call them up, ask for Steve D. himself, and see what they say.

Welp if you've driven a turbocharged car and a supercharged car you know you want a turbocharger. Superchargers just aren't 'fun.' Nothing like that shift into 2nd and the other guy screaming "OH SHIT HE'S TURBOCHARGED." Unfortunately, however, I don't think anyone has developed a turbocharger for the e39 M5. I was reading in EC a couple months ago about a company in Norway, ESS, that apparently makes good blowers. Check their site out at www.esstuning.com. Oh yea, and the two year warranty always is nice to have.

OK, please let me know what you find out. I'm picking up
my M5 next weekend and I have a very serious boost addiction.
I also want to do forced induction. Turbo is way better than SC,
but at this point, I would take either. on the M5 V8, it has plenty of torque, so a SC is an option I could live with. maybe we could get a volume discount for buying 2 of them...? you can email me at loangainer@aol.com.
