Nos question

hiya,, just gotta question about NOS,, what's the difference between a Wet Shot and Dry Shot when it comes to NOS,, i hear this from ppl and was just curious about what the difference is,,

also when u are running NOS,,, are you running it through each cylinder,, and also does it have it's own direct port or does it hook up to the fuel injectors,,,

i know there are probably different ways of hookin it up,,, but what are the basic and common ways of settin it up and stuff

Wet injects fuel and nitrous into the intake manifold.
Dry kits just inject nitrous and rely on your car's fuel system to supply the extra fuel.

Wet kits generally make more hp and torque for the same amount of nitrous.

Most nitrous nozzles are placed in the intake stream 6-8 inches before the throttle body. Direct Port kits are tapped directly into each runner of the intake manifold. Most kits have a single nozzle.

I, and a few others on the board, am running a 75 shot DRY nitrous setup. Works perfectly. Also some people are running dry shots but I have yet to meet/talk to/confront any of them. On bmw's....dry has worked fine so far. I, myself, like a wet system better (direct port obviously ideal but mad expensive) but I just got a really good deal on mine and couldn't pass it up. If you have any other ?'s re: BMW's in specific...lemme know.

ohh another thing I'm wondering is what do u mean,,like I'm "am running a 75 shot DRY nitrous setup",, what does the "75 shot" signifly,, what are the different types of "shot"

it means im running a DRY nitrous system...which shoots (a VERY rough) ~75 hpr. The lower the number...the less you're squeezing. The higher....the more you're squeezing...the more hpr,...the faster the car...(aka the more potential for engine damage). You can change the jetting/shot on every nitrous system to whatever you want...anywhere from 35-300!

ps. Again, the internet is your friend. Got to www.google.com and type in "nitrous FAQ" or "nitrous shot explained" or something of the sort....there's TONS of info. If you're questions are BMW related...you'll get the info here...otherwise...nitrous info is pretty much universal.
