| You wouldn't need anything new interms of hard parts..but i would replace the fuel filter, get new plugs (copper). I would go w/ the ESS charger its a little cheaper and will meet your street needs. |

| Your bmw will handle the power perfectly fine. That is very low miles on that motor. BMW motors are strong and especially at 14000 miles. The only thing that may possible be a problem is your right foot. Those supercharger kits from rms give out somewhere around 350hp, and that is alot different thatn the 240 stock. You should check out european supercharging systems, they have lower horsepower ratings, but they are cheaper, and I believe more drivable. |

| info There are a lot of kits out there. Dinan, RMS, ERT, ESS. I recently organized a Group Buy for the ESS kits. Some of the kits have been delivered and installed and others are still waiting to be delivered. ESS was great to work with for getting information on their systems but they have been really shitty about updating the customers about their order and when to expect delivery. Probably in about 2-3 weeks you will see a writeup done on the ESS experience I had and detail out the installation. Dinan has a good product and software. But their price pretty high. RMS basically has the same kit as Dinan but their software blows. If I were you I would hold off for a month or so and see how the ESS kit pans out for people. There were about 20 people that purchased so I'm sure you will hear more about them in the next month or so. Some info I gathered during the group buy. http://home.attbi.com/~kbleck |

ESS E36 system is also decent. The hardware components are probably a bit better design but their E36 kit definately isnt as nice as the E46 kit. The components are good but just not as high quality as the E46 stuff. More to come with the review later this month. As for the Illegal part. You are probably thinking of the emissions in California. There is a special emmissions board called C.A.R.B that you have to submit your aftermarket parts to and they "stamp" it with CARB approved. The only system that is CARB approved is Dinan. If you dont live in California then you dont have to worry about it. |
