supercharger and cams

Has anyone ever done the schrick cams (256/264) with their supercharged m3? I was thinking about doing it but heard from some people its not worth it/ not good for power addition. Some hard numbers would definitely be better but any input is appreciated

The DTMPower February guy (Bill) has that setup, I BELIEVE. I may be wrong but you can check his list of mods in the monthly car section. He's making some serious power too. In the latest Performance BMW issue, says he ran a 12.6x or something like that. That's as fast as a LOT of AA turbo M3's. In a past European car issue, the guys @ Evosport yanked out the Schrick cams when the guy was getting the AA turbo kit installed. Guess it's a NA type cam. With the right tuner, I see nothing wrong with it. Dynospotracing (Dynospotracing.com) is in Mountain View, CA. Not too far from where I live and they have made some custom (regrinds) camshafts for Dinan S/C'd M3's making respectable horsepower. They have some dyno sheets on their website. Talk to Dick, he's knowledgeable when it comes to the Euro's...Hope this helps...

Hello,

I have a Euro 3,2 supercharged 18 psi. My stock cams are 270 degree and I was searching for cams with higher lift duration.

I was told not to go for more than 270 degree as more lift of the valves causes overloop thus drop in boost and performance and....

AA Turbo kit with Schrick cams make engine too much high compression.
That's why people use stock cam with the turbo kits.
