| With that many miles, forced induction could cause problems. To your question, I have heard good and bad things about RMS. Dinan is pretty reputable, but if you are looking for sheer power, I think you can squeeze more power from the RMS. Have you considered an AA turbo? |

| my friend just bought................. tbe AA StageII turbo for his 97 M3. That is all I have to say. But SC is sheer power from the start, turbo has to be spooled up. But turbo, in my opinion, should go on M3's instead of SC because M3's really open up at high rpm and speeds....where the turbo is the best SC, look into Dinan and RMS. Both are excellent. My friend down the street has a 325 with RMS SC and it runs great. But 147K miles is a lot. Think about AA Level II Euro HFM kit with an exhaust. Best for 95 M3. You gain a lot of power. Good luck with everything man.

| You might think about rebuilding your engine to support a stage 2 or 3 Turbo or stage 2 SC. Lower compression etc. put a 3.2 crank in, head work etc. Then you can run 12-15psi and put out 450-525 flywheel. (those are very rough numbers and it isn't as easy as that but this email may get long). Pete McHenry (contact AlexMC), I believe makes a build kit for your motor. I know he will rebuild it for you. He can also do the head work, (put 3.2's in, etc etc). RMS can also rebuild your engine. They got my JE pistons in less than 2 weeks which I felt was excellent (order date to in shop date). I have heard good and bad and it makes me nervous but I do purchase parts and other performance stuff from RMS. Figure with no other mods just a rebuild and cams, 250+ hp to the ground by itself (probably more (20hpmaybe) I am being conservative). Then add your Turbo or SC, Figure a 6lb sc stage 1 would be another 120 hp (depending on brand etc etc). Header, special exhaust, euro HFM, would all be other items you should have. With an RMS SC at 10lb (I think) you could get to about 380 (figure 370ish to 390, maybe more but you just don't know). You could break into the 400's with a turbo. All numbers are guessed and are based on dynojet numbers. All are rear wheel hp.
