Help: Dinan Supercharger

Does anyone know if the Dinan Supercharger kit comes with instructions, and if so, how detailed? I'm thinking of purchasing the kit and installing it with a friend.

Also, if I self-install, how would I get the new software into my car? I guess with an 95 I just drop in a new chip and with 96+ I have to bring it in for reprogramming?

the dinan kit would come with instructions... the '95's you plug in a new chip, its a bit of a bitch to get at tho, ecu is in behind glovebox. 96 they hook it to a computer and reprogram it.

dinan isn't really the best value though, kinda $$$ for what you get

chips are easy to get to. Unscrew 4 screws, and pull out the DME. It'll take you 5 minutes tops to replace the chip

I agree. Dinan is pretty pricy for the results you get. Shop around and compare different kits. Take a look at ESS(esstuning.com) or RMS (racemarque.com). They give better results for the money.

I was wondering, how would you go about programming an ECU? Do you just attatch the actual unit someway to your serial port? I want to learn how to program these things. I'm not new to these types of things, i have been able to create H/HU card readers/programmers for the satellite cards and i was wondering if it was the same type of process.

obd II programming hardware is $$$$$$$$$$$$

i wish i could get it, i'm either getting afc and timing computers or a unichip
