| Chip = $250 Super = $5000-$6000 Turbo = $9000-$12000 You get what you pay for, and just for reference, those prices are just ballparks.

| Go with the chip unless you have a pile of cash, because there are much more costs other than just purchasing the turbo or supercharger, depending on how much power you want, otherwise the supercharger is the best bang for the buck. It is way way easier to install, more adjustable in amount of boost, fewer parts, and more reliable. Turbos have a lag or hesitation in power of 1 or 2 seconds depending on turbo size after accelerating, which can be a real drag with an automatic, and they also create much more heat around the motor. I could go on and on with more details, since I've owned and modified both types of motors, but this gives you the general idea. |

| turbo............. I second that. I voted turbo for you but only if you have the cash and the right guy to do it. It's very difficult to install a turbo on an NA car so you better know the macanic knows his s**t. Performance chip is a very nice upgrade. Depending on if you are going to get a turbo or not....don't get a chip right away because they have to reprogram your software to work along with the turbo so you gotta know what you are gonna do. But if you decide to go with turbo...go with AA and they do all that stuff for you. The price is from $10800. So if you have the cash go for it! My 95 M3 is going in for the AA StageII turbo kit the end of this month!!!!! Good luck, hope this helps.

Hmm...I wonder which one takes longer. And for reliability...nah. That's not true either. |

| I dont see how you can really compare a chip next to a s/c or t/c. Here's what I know about the s/c and t/c T/C *Has a lag time *Cant have one with an auto (torque is too much for the slushies) *Can get a heck of a lot more power with T/C depending on boost setting *Turbo's generally require a little more TLC S/C *No lag time *Alledgedly easier on internal engine components than T/C *Can't adjust boost, unless you swap out the pulleys Those are some of the more popular facts that are discussed about them. Personally if it were me, and I had the cash I'd tune it as far as I could naturally aspirated and leave it at that.

-Superchargers on our BMW have no lag, but you didn't mix in the fact that these superchargers make all their power linearly as boost builds. The higher the RPM, the more power you make. -Turbochargers make way more torque. -Turbochargers don't require engine power to spin them up, so they aren't robbing engine power. I love Nicholas' set up though, with the RMS Supercharger and aftercooler. The only thing I would add to the mix is water injection and a 10psi pulley. |

Isn't this LINEAR power? Correct me if I am wrong. |
