Nitrous Oxide Question....

I know I've said before that I wasn't into nitrous, I'd rather have a turbo blah blah blah, but until I can afford an AA kit, I need something to fill the void. I was lookin at bavauto.com's ZEX kit and was wondering if I would have to change my car setup in any way if I run this ZEX kit with a 75 shot? I know I'll have to run colder plugs, I heard NGK 7E's were the way to go... but I also heard some statements that contradict themselves. One guy said I'd have to remove my AA chip and put my stock one back in (because of the advance timing), then someone else said that was only the case if I was gonna run 100 shot or greater. The only aftermarket stuff I have done to my car is AA chip, AA CAIS, and Brullen Cat-back exhaust. Thanks in advance...

Talk to RFish328. I just helped him put in a ZEX kit in his 328. The install is pretty easy. He knows alot about it.

Just check compression first then change out your fuel filter. Put in colder non platinum plugs and some fuel injector cleaner (redline). Then remove the chip. Put in the stock or have one custom burned by AA w/ no timing advance just revised fuel maps and removed limiters.

I would not run a chip either with nitrous. Another caution is to run a window switch either by MSd or Mallory. That will prevent you from spraying if you hit the rev limiter. That causes huge detonation.
