What do you guys think of the Turbo Ti? Need Opinions....

http://www.activeautowerke.com/cars/...ii/default.asp

So i came across this last week and ever since, i cant stop thinking about it. Just wanted to hear what you guys think about it. It would replace my 95 M3 which is pretty modded.

If it was a normal 3 series, I would be all over it, I just dont know what I think about the Ti.

Also, I know some of you guys work at AA, what do you guys think of the car, honestly (unbiased).

Any help help would be great. Thanks.

i like the ti's i am not a real e36 fan, but i like two e36's a avus m3 and a ti. i say if you are not happy with your car then get this one. your car looks very good. but this on is making 450 hp and running 12.x 1/4 mile. if i had 41 k id buy this car. ultimate sleeper. but the paint job has to go. or is that just for the ONE lap race?

Scroll down that page - it shows pictures of just the plain white car. It didn't have the graphics when it was featured in Sport Compact Car either. The louvres in the hood are the only "custom" exterior item aside from the AC Schnitzer mods and such. It's a cool car, but I can't justify $41,000 for it.

Has anyone here done a 6 cylinder swap in their 318Ti and turbocharged it? I'd think you could build a similarly equipped car for less.

blown m compact did it. he claimed to have a sub 11 second car. i dont doubt him, but his cost as much as that if not way more. i think the car is worth the price they are asking, it just up to the buyer to see if they want to pay the price.

Considering all the other work that would be done (more than just a motor + turbo install) I guess I understand how costs could quickly rise.

I wonder how a car like that handles from a street-driven perspective, taking into account it's abundance of power. Man, I'd love to take something like that around my block and compare it to my daily driver. Kinda blows the mind, doesn't it?

I think you need to retract this post, the car is A LOT more than just an 6 cyl. swap into a 318ti with a turbo. The car is a race car, plain and simple (suspension, roll cage, BIG brakes, etc.....).

I'd actually consider buying this car..it's pretty tempting...but what could you do to it to personalize the car?? There's nothing left to mod! Except maybe ICE, but I wouldn't want to put too much in that car.

Although the price seems kinda steep I would take that in a second. I'll trade him straight up for my ti. I mean just look at it. It's Gorgeous with those CH's.

Thanks for the help guys. THe one thing I do like is that it would be the ultimate sleeper.

BTW, if any of the AA guys see this, I would like to know what your impressions of the car are since you have probabily driven it.

Thanks

That car is awesome. I would love to own it as a strictly track car. It is nice, and I am not a fan of ti's. I can afford the $$$ though.

sweet

I saw it last week. It is really clean no stickers and all that stuff. You can't even tell that it has an intercooler, he had it sprayed painted black. The inside looks completely stock also, except for the roll cage
