AA turbo question... Do you guys know what the thickness is of the head gasket used in the Stage 2 of AA's turbo? Also... Do you guys see anything wrong with using two smaller intercooler, placed directly behind each brake duct, rather than one larger intercooler? Thanks!!!

Call AA up for the thickness of the head gasket, it really depends on what compression ratio you want. As for the two intercoolers instead of one here are some cons: 1. The frontal area going through the brake ducts is not the same as the area for the front spoiler. 2. Pressure drops between both intercoolers can become and issue. The main thing is that the direct air path to an air/air IC is necessary. The more area, the better.

Maybe i should add that i cannot fit a large intercooler... which is why i'm concerned on the draw backs of the two smaller intercoolers.. They will have thicker cores though. ohh and i believe aa lowers their compression to 8.3:1.. if that helps Thanks

You may want to consider two smaller staggered (one behind the other) intercoolers then.

The only reason I haven't taken this to a PM is because it might benefit other readers. You can fit some under the car parallel to the the ground (I don't have pics to give you an example) with some ducting to direct air through the IC/IC's. PS. You can fit an IC on your E30, you just need some custom work and/or different front spoiler (see pics below): ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by ///MCubed : 03-10-2002 at 08:46 PM.

Already got custom bumpers (mtech molded on)... didn't plan on going this route aswell.. My rad is pretty much an inch away from the bumper... Do you have feedback on the KKK K27 turbo? (the one for the 3.6l porsche) ![]()
