Can I turbo my e36 325i for les than $10000?

At ICS performance they told me that I have to come to them with 10k in order to bring my car up to 450hp. Is that true. Has anyone done it for cheaper? I do want a very good setup because eventually i plan on rebuilding the engine and restoring the car. what are the more expensive parts? Help me out here.

exhaust manifold - $600

You can do it for less, but you would have to do all the work yourself other than the tune wich is not going to be cheap. I personally think your figure for exhaust is too high. Id say $500-$700. Also a treadstone mani is about $400. Here is about another $2500 to add to your list which does not include tuning.

Looks like you has an OBDI car... if that's the case you can get a stageII turbo kit with tuning for less than 7K from TRM. A StageII kit should easily make 450hp.

I dont know what else I need if i buy this...Can I just get the dinan software update and be fine??? I was going to prob just run it at 7psi so i dont have to mess with my engine

if you are planing on boosting your car hard you may want to get forged pistons($600) and connecting rods. and if you already have the motor that fare apart you may want to do some other mic. upgrades, lifters, cams...
