ebay turbo kit

Does anyone have trust in the e30 turbo kit(i plan to put this on my eta 2.7) from eBay.com? I was told the turbo's do not last long they are only $900.00 tops for a kit, inter cooler and everything. if thats the case then wouldn't it be smart to wait till the turbo blows and then get a garret? Just looking for some input thanks.

you also need to upgrade your fuel injection system eliminating the vaf by putting megasquirt! =]

vane airflow meter if you wanna turbocharger your bemmer you gotta have some knowledge of how fuel injection and spark timing works. spark, fuel and the size of the turbo are the key on making power

Oo.. I had a turbo on my 325i but thr car would just ovrheat but is it bcus i had the smallest intercooler? i mean i bought a fan and put it behind the radiator but still itd have to be a nice cool day or something wud just crack under my hood.. I was told abouut megasquirt but not to sure wat it is but i was told there prob wont be a diffrence Will there tho?

your intercooler had nothing to do with it. its just you didn't upgrade your cooling system or you have a bunch of build up in your cooling system causeing it to get hotspots
or you didn't bleed it right haha
which is impossible!
ohh hell yea theres a difference with megasquirt!! tuning is everything!!!
and with the maf you can't do anything... thats the downfall of the motronic systems!
it can't calculate the amount of grams of air like a maf does
so any increase of air is just gonna make your car run lean!

i have 2 suggestions for you guys
if you are on a budget and/ or wanna half ass it
Miller MAF System

and if you are really serious
W.A.R. & MAF Combo

i reccomend wideband as well and consider the apexi select not neo and not afc-II they won't work on your car

frankly i'm going to be using the war chip myself along with this other stuff
apexi select this is basically an apexi afc-II but for european models
turbo ar .70
tial wastgate
greddy intercooler
intercooler piping kit
miller performance map conversion
wideband 02 setup
blowoff valve
stainless steel oil line kit
boost controller w/ gauge greddy
oil cooler
oil pressure sensor w/ gauge
oil catch can greddy
oil return fitting
pillar pod gauge console
walbro 255
if necessary a t3-t4 adapter
oil sandwich plate i won't be doing a whole lot of drill and tapping thanks to this guy
slimline electric fans - the fan clutch is being deleted in lue of intercooler and slim fans
aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
and lastly fuel injectors from a mustang gt - these are 34lb and should be sufficent for - for now

in all if you wanna do it right look to spend at least 3000 and thats if u buy some used stuff
gotta pay to play with the big boys

i would not buy an ebay turbo.i have been in the audi world high performance turbo tuning for years,and those things are cheap chinese turbos.some guys have blown them up in weeks,while other took months to years.its a hit or miss situation.so do yourself a favor,and never buy that knockoff stuff.if you have any questions in regard to turbos and how they work,feel free to pm me .good luck and have a good one
