i need a mentor hey, i'm giving some very serious thought to getting a turbo setup on my 1985 318i (kind of, its been swapped to a low mileage 92 non vanos m50). i know absolutely nothing about turbo setups and im on a semi strict budget. my main concern is reasonable engine management. i don't want a monster of a car that is unreliable and uncontrollable as i spend most of my time carting my 4 year old son around...just wanting it to be faster and have a project he could help me with a little (he helped me do the m50 swap in october, he's all about working on my car and making it faster.) so, what kind of options do i have as far as a cheaper means of ignition and fuel setup? a chip made for turbo? piggy back systems? thanks for any input.

Brass air fittings Now that is a lot of brass air fittings Wholesale Tools With Free Shipping World Wide From China Distributor there is just about every type of air fitting that you could want. Wholesale prices too. I guess these could be used as small water pipe fitting also. I used some of the parts to make my babington wvo burner.

I saw a sick turbo set up for a 318 on you tube but you might want to get a bigger motor if you want to to go turbo cause that thing is gona crack when you turn the boost up plus 6 is better then 4 lol

oh yeah eurotrash, sorry, i failed to mention have an m50 in my car already, i believe my motor is big enough. now, fairweather punk, have you dealt with mega squirt? i am wondering very roughly what kind of money will be needed to get the system in the car, i know somebody running it so tuning it isn't the big problem. i will be uaing the active autowerks exh man, stage 1 turbo and stage 1 injectors, everything else is yet to be determined (i have a friend that upgraded to actives stage2)... money is definitely an issue, i have a jeep project and am a single daddy not getting child support, so im collecting stuff slowly until im ready.

man that sounds ruff but your gona need about 4k give or take too make all that work. I was thinking of doing the same set up on my 325IS but my headgasket went so i scrapped the whole idea and now im going to buy a E39 M5 from my job the thing has Dinan intake and exhaust it should sell for 10k at the auction i hope.
